Seray Asker

A unique collection of artisanal ceramics by Seray Asker.

Multidisciplinary artist Seray Asker was born in 1978 in Istanbul. She has been living in Spain since 2015. After graduating from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Interior Architecture, she continued her education at Utrecht Fine Arts University, Department of Plastic Arts. Completing her studies in the Netherlands, the artist lived for ten years in Sweden where she worked as an art consultant in the design sector and created in various disciplines.

In Spain, where she moved to complete her Spanish studies, she focused on ceramic and mural works as well as working as an art consultant for the last four years. In 2021, she moved her art to Mexico as an outcome of the “Ceramic Musical Instruments Design” scholarship she won in Oaxaca/Mexico. The artist, deeply influenced by Mexican culture, conveyed the inspirations of this culture to her works and she gave life to clay by creating ceramic musical instruments. Her Mexican interactions are also reflected in her rug designs and her mural works.

Seray’s ceramic works have been shown in group exhibitions as well as London Design Week. Please get in touch for further information on individual designs and current availability.
